Where Do You Get Your Chocolate?

We make them ourselves! We don’t use store-bought compound or couverture chocolate. It all starts with the raw ingredients. Each  flavor takes us at least 16 hours to make!

Where Does Your Cacao Beans & Cocoa Butter Come From?

We mainly and specifically use Trinitario cacao beans, as well as cocoa butter from the Davao province.

How do you sweeten your products?

We sweeten our products with coconut sugar only! Aside from the its health benefits, we found that coco sugar’s sweetness doesn’t overpower the taste of cacao and other ingredients.

What is Sunflowet Lecithin?

Sunflower lecithin is used in food to provide a smooth, moist texture and to keep ingredients from separating. Because we are committed to creating products that are soy-free, we use sunflower lecithin in all of our products.

It is made by dehydrating a sunflower and separating it into three parts: oil, gum, and solids. The lecithin comes from the gum. It is processed through a cold press system like the one used to make olive oil.

Sunflower Lecithin vs. Soy Lecithin
Most companies use soy lecithin in their products. But there are three big issues with using soy lecithin:

  1. Most soy is genetically modified.
  2. Soy lecithin is often processed with chemicals.
  3. Many people are allergic to soy.

Sunflower is the opposite. Most sunflower is organic, not genetically-modified, and is not processed with chemicals. It is also not considered a top allergen.

Because soy lecithin is cheaper, you will find it in the majority of commercial products. We have chosen to use sunflower lecithin, despite the added cost, as pure ingredients are our number one priority.

Sunflower lecithin is also vegan-friendly.

What is Himalayan Pink Salt?

Himalayan salt is a type of rock salt best known for its striking pink color which comes from the natural presence of several trace minerals, including magnesium and iodine. Himalayan salt is unrefined and hand-mined from caves in northern Pakistan. Because it’s millions of years old and has sat untouched, we believe that Himalayan crystal salt is a better option than standard table salt, which may contain toxins and pollutants.

What makes your hot chocolate different?

Our product’s quality comes down to the labor and raw ingredients we use.

We use high quality ingredients which really sets us apart. We’ve spent a great deal of our effort researching for the right suppliers, and making sure that we stay true to our products and only use ingredients that are intended for a cup of hot chocolate, and conveniently made at home.

Second is the manpower to handcraft our products. From buying the raw ingredients, to the production, packaging, and shipping.

  1. We use all-natural ingredients only!
  2. We don’t use ingredients that imitates the taste of real ones. For example:
    • We don’t use flavoring oils or extracts that contain the words ‘artificial flavors’ that you see in 95% of grocery or baking supply shops around Metro Manila. Instead, we make our own flavoring extracts and oils using real herbs and fruits!
    • We don’t use fruit powder. Instead, we make our own!
    • We use 100% cocoa butter on  all our hot chocolate stirrers, and we stay away from hydrogenated oils!
  3. We use coco sugar to sweeten our products, instead of refined(white) or brown sugar.
  4. Aside from the refining process, a lot of the work that goes through our hot chocolates stirrers involves making them by hand. We really can’t call ourselves artisinal or gourmet if we fully mechanize our processes!

What % of Cacao Content Does Your Hot Chocolates Contain?

We have many, from white to 70% pure hot chocolate.

What is the % in your products?

Mainly the percentage ratio of cacao and coco sugar. For example our dark chocolate stirrer contains 70% cacao content, the remaining 30% is the coco sugar.

Storage & Shelf Life

How Should I Store Hot Chocolate Stirrer?

Definitely not in a freezer. And a refrigerator should only be used as a last resort—for example, if you live in a really hot climate and don’t have air conditioning. If you live in a home where the indoor temperature doesn’t exceed 22° C, it’s best to simply store it at room temperature, in a dry place that is protected from sunlight and other strong odors. For example, in a cupboard. You can also store it in a wine cooler.

What if I live in a very hot place without air conditioning?

If you live in an extremely hot place and do not have air conditioning, and it’s in the middle of summer, you should still never put Hot Chocolate Stirrer into a freezer. If you have a wine cooler, you should store it there—although first put the package into a large ziplock bag to protect it from moisture. If you don’t have a wine cooler, then you can you could put it into a zip lock bag and store it in your refrigerator, and ideally adjust the temperature of the refrigerator to a moderate setting. In this case, the zip lock bag would be mandatory, to protect it from moisture. But honestly, in that situation we would recommend storing the chocolate at someone else’s dwelling (a friend or family member) who does have air conditioning, and ask them to keep it in a cupboard for you. And you should probably invite them to the tasting.

How long is the shelf life?

Officially, under the right storage conditions, the shelf life is 6 months. Our products are without additives or chemicals that extend the shelf life alone. We don’t want you to drink those chemicals!

Unofficially, it should last longer than that, but after a while the aroma may fade.

After that, you will be asked to fill in your personal details like your full name, address and contact number so we know where to send your purchase and how to reach you.

Where is your store located?

We are located in San Andres, Manila and is a home-based business. What that means is we do not currently have our own physical store where you can walk in and buy our hot chocolate stirrers at the moment.

We take orders from 9:00AM to 6:00PM daily.

How do I pay for my order?

Were working very hard to get more payment methods for our online store, but at the moment, you can pay for your hot chocolate stirrer via one of our several payment methods found below:

Bank Deposit via BDO. (Online or over-the-counter).
Credit Card via Paypal (Visa & Mastercard).
Virtual Wallet (GCash or PayMaya).

How Do I Pay via Bank Deposit?

On the checkout page, select Bank Transfer as your payment method  during checkout, then you will receive an email from us with our Bank Account Details.

Please email deposit slip to cocoaboulevardph@gmail.com. Once payment is confirmed, we will process and deliver your order.

You may deposit at any branch of BDO. We have a policy of 48 hours to make payment for your order. If we do not hear from you in 48 hours, we’ll have to cancel your order. Note that orders made on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will have a Bank Deposit deadline of Tuesday the following week.

How Do I Check The Status of My Order?

We make our products as soon as your order comes in, and we want to make sure you’re update as much as possible with the status and the delivery’s schedule. Please go to our Track My Order page, input the order ID and email address that is associated with your order. Your order ID is located in the order confirmation email sent to the email address you entered upon checkout.

When do you deliver and how soon will my hot chocolate stirrers arrive?

We deliver from Mondays to Fridays at 9am-7pm.

If we have stock, we normally deliver it within the next day. If we don’t, please allow us 5-10 working days to prepare and deliver your order. As we are an artisan shop, we prepare our Hot Chocolate Stirrers in small batches so that you always get the freshest batch.

We’ll send you a detailed confirmation email once the order is completed in our system. Please review it carefully and make sure everything is just the way you want it. And since hot chocolate stirrers are perishable, it’s important that you or your recipient know that the hot chocolate stirrers are to be delivered that day.
